gemini 1155 error fix

This article covers what the tools do, how they compare, and where to start on Pixwit without leaving this page for a second landing.

What is Gemini error 1155?

When Google Gemini (web or mobile) cannot complete a request, it sometimes returns “Something went wrong (1155)”. The code is a generic server-side failure surfaced in the Gemini Apps community and on Reddit threads in early October 2026. It is not tied to a single feature—users report it on chat turns, image generation, and file uploads.

Quick fixes that usually work

1. Hard refresh or restart the app — Close Gemini completely, reopen, and send a shorter prompt.
2. Switch networks — Toggle Wi‑Fi/cellular or disable VPN; corporate proxies often trigger 1155.
3. Reduce attachments — Large images/PDFs can trip safety or size limits; retry with one smaller file.
4. Try an incognito session — Rules out stale cookies or extension conflicts.
5. Check Workspace status — If you are on a Google Workspace account, confirm Gemini is enabled for your domain.

When it is not your fault

If multiple devices and networks fail with the same 1155 message, the issue is likely on Google’s side. Community threads recommend waiting 30–60 minutes and avoiding rapid re-submits that can rate-limit your account.

Use Pixwit while Gemini is down

Pixwit is independent from Google. If you primarily need AI images during an outage:

• Nano Banana 2.1 — Fast text-to-image and editing on /nano-banana and /models/nano-banana-2-1.
• AI Image Generator — Multi-model stills at /ai-image-generator.
• AI Image Editor — Upload a selfie and iterate with natural-language edits on /ai-image-editor.

Video creators can open AI Video Generator for Kling, Sora, Veo, and Wan models without leaving one dashboard.

Can Pixwit replace Gemini chat?
Pixwit focuses on media generation. For coding or long-form chat, wait for Gemini to recover or use another LLM you trust.
