We need microphone access to list your inputs and display the live waveform. Nothing is sent to our servers during recording.

How to Record Your Voice Online in 3 Simple Steps

1

Allow the Microphone

Click "Allow microphone" and grant the browser permission when prompted. Your device's input list loads automatically. Pick the mic you want—built-in, USB, or Bluetooth—and you are ready to go.

2

Hit Record and Monitor Your Levels

Click the large red Record button. The live waveform activates immediately so you can confirm the mic is picking up your voice. Pause at any time and resume into the same take. Auto-stop kicks in at 15 minutes per take to protect device memory.

3

Preview, Download, and Share

Finish the recording and an audio player appears instantly. Listen back, then download WebM for the web or WAV for editing in a DAW like GarageBand, Audacity, or Adobe Audition. Record a fresh take at any time without losing the previous one.

Voice Recording Features

Choose Your Microphone

After a one-time permission grant, select any connected audio input from the dropdown—built-in mic, USB condenser, headset, or Bluetooth. Refresh the list at any time if you plug in a new device without reloading the page.

Real-Time Waveform Visualizer

A live time-domain waveform drawn on an HTML Canvas element confirms levels while you speak. Spot silence, background noise, or clipping instantly—without waiting until you play back the recording.

Pause, Continue, Finish

Pause mid-sentence to gather your thoughts, answer a question, or rearrange notes—then resume and the takes are seamlessly appended into a single file. No complex multi-take merging required.

WAV and WebM Download

Download the native browser recording as WebM/Opus for the smallest file size, or get an uncompressed WAV for maximum audio quality and DAW compatibility. WAV is generated locally via the Web Audio API with no quality loss.

Echo Cancellation and Noise Suppression

We enable echoCancellation and noiseSuppression constraints on the media stream by default. This reduces room echo and background hiss without any post-processing step, making recordings cleaner out of the box.

100% Private Local Processing

MediaRecorder encoding and the WAV conversion both run entirely inside your browser tab using the Web Audio API and AudioContext. Your audio never reaches our servers—guaranteed.
